The Metal Work classroom at Steiner Academy Hereford was built in 2011. Using a traditional oak cruck frame the building immediately creates a roomy and inspiring space for pupils and teachers. The building sits on a reinforced trench fill foundation and is clad with Douglas fir from a local saw mill. The roof is laid with fire retardant blue label cedar shingle. Due to the need to have this class room ready for the start of the summer term the building was constructed in just five weeks.
