Lake district

We have been away for a week up in the lake district. Autumn is a lovely time to visit this area as there are so many beech trees with such magnificent copper colours, a personal favorite!

New job, new fantastic view

We have just started a job in Clyro near Hay-on-Wye. The views from the garden are stunning, looking over to the black mountains.

We are creating a large vegetable area with raised beds made from FSC green oak sleepers. The whole area will be surrounded by a chestnut paling fence.

Water feature

I have just taken this photo of a water feature we built eight years ago, the client wanted something that looked like it had always been there. We found the old pipe while excavating the footings for the stone walls and together decided to put it to good use.

Stone walling

We have just finished the stone wall in Kingstone south Herefordshire. Our client asked for a low picket fence along the top of the wall and I think it works well. The fence is made from locally sourced Cedar which is very durable, the colour will mellow with age.
